Nothing about birds in this post – and since most folks who visit here are interested in my birds, and don’t like my other rants/posts…. I’m just saying.

I enjoy reading Being Amber Rhea. Its an interesting blog – waaaaaaaayyyyyy the hell out in left field, but interesting none the less.

BUT – and you just knew that “but” was coming, didn’t you? She is so thin skinned that its unbelievable. She sees insults that don’t exist, and expects to be treated badly in internet debate – which she virtually never is.

Look at this, from commenter Faith:

I do not necessarily believe that any woman who engages in ass to mouth is looking to self-destruct. I do seriously worry about anyone who engages in ATM.

You “worry?” Oh, fuck YOU! I don’t need your paternalism! Oh thank you for “worrying” about me, because THAT really makes me feel like you see me as an intellectual equal!

See? That response is just totally fucked up. How does this person make it through ANY day – even one where she doesn’t see another human being? Where did that charge of paternalism come from? It sure didn’t come from reality, that is for sure.

Another good example is from a few weeks back – asking about houses, and then trying to claim folks are treating her like a five year old because they (me, mainly) mention to be sure to get enough electrical outlets. Hmm, What the fuck? Thats about the best advice you’ll get – having just custom built a house, and looked at frigging tons of houses – its solid truth.

Her inability to take herself seriously (as in the above blockquote) seriously inhibits anyone’s taking her seriously. Which is a shame.

Watch – if she responds (a big if – she’s really thin skinned) it will all be my fault, lack of understanding, and I’ll be stuck with all the latest buzzword labels.
