I love my Amazon
Alright, so she’s realllllly laid back. So she is prone to fits of eye rolling hysteria, and to spending hours repeating the Andy Griffith song. (You only *think* its cute the first 4 billion times. Trust me on this one.) So she is prone to shrieking at the top of her lungs just when you think all the birds are asleep – despite all this (really, because of it), I love my Amazon.
Right now she has decided that today is clothes inspection day. Are there any buttons that she has somehow missed removing? What about this zipper? Its awfully shiny, and obviously not needed – lets see if I can remove this. I can’t? Well, I haven’t tried long enough.
Hey if I thump this sock hard enough, it jumps! (Because there is a foot in it, you silly bird)
She’s not as bright as Harley. She’s not as friendly as Kermit. But she has her own unique charm, and her own sweet personality.
And she is a first class button remover too.
I love amazons, and yours is beautiful.
I also love macaws. And conures. And brown-headed parrots (who are amazing button removers, too). And cockatiels. And cockatoos. And love birds. And parrotlets. And . . .
Parrot people are very special, you know.
Have you ever read the article by Layne Dicker about how much he loves amazons? It makes me laugh every time. http://www.netpets.org/birds/reference/species/amazons.html
I am such an amazon fan as well!
